Southeast Asia Business Research Center

Regional economic integration has become the trend since the mid-1980s. With its vast territory, and progress toward stronger regional ties, Southeast Asian countries are playing a vital role in regional peace and economic development. Recognizing the importance of this region as strategic economic and trade partner, Taiwan has initiated the Southward Policy twice since 1994, with the aim to promote closer tie with Southeast Asian countries.

Southeast Asia Business Research Center is one of the research centers established by the Department of International Business at Asia University , with the objectives to promote research and to disseminate market information of Southeast Asia . In addition, the Center also provides a platform to promote bilateral trade among small and medium enterprises from Southeast Asia and Taiwan . Our goals are as follow:

1.To build a database of bilateral trade among small and medium enterprises
  from Southeast Asia and Taiwan for the purpose of research and
  teaching.

2. To study the development of bilateral trade between Southeast Asia and
  Taiwan and firms' market entry strategies.

3. To develop a platform that enhances ties between firms from Southeast
  Asia and Taiwan .

4. To promote closer academic-industry relationships and to provide
  business consultancy and research projects.
